We finally got our pumpkins carved last night. The kids sketched out their designs and then drew them on the pumpkins for my wife and I to carve (they're a little too young yet to do it themselves, but are old enough to enjoy seeing their designs finished.)

For mine, I decided to try something a little different, and cut it in half diagonally instead of just removing the top. That made it a lot easier to dig all the seeds and goo out.

I figured I'd go for some sort of head-cut-in-half-and-sliding-down-sideways look, but it ended up sliding too far. So I added a notch to keep it together more, and came up with this:

Love that creepy smile!

Today, I'm mostly just saying "happy Halloween". But I suppose we can pull a few little marketing thoughts out of this:

  1. Try something a little different every once in a while.
  2. If it doesn't work on the first try, improvise and tweak it a little. You never know what you'll come up with.

Enjoy your evening!
