Going Quiet for a While
by Antone Roundy | 6 Comments | Blogging
I've been blogging daily for nearly 14 months now. 2 years ago, I hardly would have believed that possible. But with the right software, it hasn't been all that difficult.
However, I've just committed to a few major projects with a business partner that are going to consume as much time as I can give them for a while. So it's time to take a break from daily blogging.
I spent some time today ruthlessly unsubscribing from mailing lists and RSS feeds, and unfollowing people on Twitter and Google+ to minimize distractions from the things I'll be focusing on. I'm basically stripping my business down to the bare essentials for now.
I'll continue developing upgrades to existing products, and maybe even some new ones. But that work will take the back seat for now.
Thank you to everyone who's subscribed to this blog and shared your comments. I imagine I'll still pop in from time to time to post something new. And I hope eventually to get back to posting regularly.
Until then, new adventures await!

Good Luck Antone, look forward to seeing your posts again in the not too distant future I hope.
This is one of the last IM blogs I actually read.

Good Luck Antone, you are one of the few Bloggers I follow because of your collection of "neat" tools that aren't found elsewhere.

Bonne Chance Antone,
J'ai beaucoup appris en te lisant. Je te souhaite le meilleur succès dans tes nouveaux défis. Je te lirai mieux encore dans tes prochains «post». C'est étonnant la force de la rareté...

I find it very interesting just how personal some authors become when writing their blogs, while others keep everything almost clinical, like they are writing from a distance. You are one of the few who I think has really developed a nice, personal connection to the readers.
As I look back on the blogs and things that I look at on a regular basis, I must say that I value that personal connection. The stories about what the blogger is up to and how they have tried things (whether they work or not) make all the difference. I think that bloggers really need to try and develop this connection, since it brings readers closer.
Incidentally, it is also an great way to position yourself as an expert.
Actually, it is not so much an expert as someone who is more like them and has finally cracked the code through a series of trial and error efforts. We will miss your daily messages, Antone!
