Seminars

Seminars are events, either live or online, where experts teach a large audience. Question and answer are sometimes permitted, but not always.

Seminars may be free or require a fee. Free seminars in particular are often used to promote products related to what's being taught. They're also use to build the presenters' credibility and followings.

When seminars are used to promote products, after presenting some (hopefully) useful information, a related product is introduced that promises to help the audience implement or otherwise benefit from what they've learned. Such seminars are sometimes referred to as "pitch fests", particularly if the presentations focus more on selling a product than providing valuable information.

Most seminars are recorded for later sale as video, audio or transcripts, or for replay.
