eBooks
eBooks or "electronic books" are a great information product format because:
- They're easy to produce using free tools (for example, if you write your eBook in OpenOffice.org's word processor, you can save it as a PDF eBook without needing any addon tools or document converters).
- They're easy to deliver by download or email.
- Because they can be downloaded, they deliver instant gratification to the customer.
A few easy ways to create eBooks include:
- Compile a bunch of your own blog posts and edit them so that they flow together well.
- Find PLR articles or eBooks and update and improve them to make them unique.
- Write an outline of the topic you want to cover and then record yourself explaining each thing on the outline, either on audio or (better yet) video. Then either transcribe what you said or pay someone else to.
That last point is key -- if you record a video first, you have a video product that can be converted to an audio product simply by exporting the audio, and a text product by transcribing the audio.
