FTP Client
An FTP client is the software you'll use to upload webpages to your website. Your web host may provide a browser based control panel that you can use to upload your webpages, but a good graphical FTP program is much quicker and easier to use.
I personally use, and highly recommend, Yummy FTP...but it's available only for Mac OS X.
If your webserver supports SFTP or SCP, use them instead of FTP (they're encrypted, so they'll protect your password from being "sniffed" by people who might try to break into your website).
