Safe Lists

Safe lists are mailing lists where anyone who is a member can email to everyone else on the list.

The strength of safe lists is that you have immediate access to a large list of subscribers, or a list that can quickly become large through the efforts of everyone on the list.

The weakness of safe lists is that everyone else on the list has immediate access to you, so they can result in very high email volume. By contrast, in viral list building services, only your up line and upgraded members (and in some cases, members sending to random groups of equal size to their downlines) can send to you, so mail volume is lower.

For the same reasons as viral list building services, safe lists tend to be far less responsive than auto responder lists, and consequently, the best use of safe lists may be to use freebies to entice people to join your private auto responder mailing list.
