Forum Posting

One way to build your reputation in your niche is to participate regularly in online forums related to your niche. as you contribute useful and insightful information frequently, others will look to you as an expert who's willing to help others.

Along with building name recognition, you can benefit from forum participation by:

  • Linking to your website from your forum signature. Check the rules for each forum to be sure they allow this, and watch how others in the forum use their signatures. In some forums, if your signature looks too much like an ad, you may get banned, so follow the lead of others who've been in the forum longer than you.
  • Getting to know other smart people who participate in the forum. Don't just sit back and wait for people to approach you -- as you get an idea of who the other frequent contributors are who aren't just blowing hot air, contact them directly to get to know them better and propose ideas for working together.

Be aware that the activity level in some forums is so high that getting remembered requires posting very frequently. Depending on how much time you're willing to spend in the forum, you may be better off looking for a smaller forum where it's easier to stand out.

Just be sure to pick a forum with high enough volume to be worthwhile. And if you're going to be looking for people to build business relationships with, be sure to find a forum where people worth working with can be found.

One of my favorite forums for internet marketing is Russell Brunson's Conquer Your Niche. The volume is about right for visiting once a day, and you earn points toward getting your ads shown in the forum every time you read or reply to a post. I paid for the upgrade when I joined, which gets me a lot of extra advertising for life.

"Do You Know This Sales Boosting Technique?"

Do you know your website's "bounce rate"? If so, you probably know that 75% or more of a website's visitors leave within the first 10 seconds.

If you're still reading, you've proven that "exit hover ads" like this can stop "bouncers" in their tracks, giving you an extra chance to turn them into customers. Click here for more information about exit hover ads.
