I'm still getting temporary bandwidth usage spikes, because it takes on average 30 seconds to start blocking any particular server, but the spikes end quickly. Hopefully these stupid ping lists will get cleaned up soon and this mess will subside. As of last night, my server is now blocking pings (blocking all HTTP traffic actually) from 264 servers.
