Alun,

Agreed on all points with one partial exception. I used to follow Perry Belcher, but then for a while, he kept tweeting ads for something or other that I found a bit offensive (don't remember what -- just that I was surprised not only that he'd promote it under his own name, but also that he kept tweeting about it).

I've unfollowed several people for being too repetitive. Perry was one.

Thanks for your comment.

Twitter is like a lot of social media I think. Great potential to be a huge time waste, but used in moderation as part of rather than all of your online presence it does have some merit. I've found Perry Belcher to be the go-to guy on Twitter, and any of his stuff is worth reading. The best use I've found for it is tweeting my blog posts and also interesting content that I find elsewhere. If you find yourself on Twitter for over 5 minutes at any one time - go do something more productive. Anything!

I see that Twitter has changed from "What are you doing?" to "What's happening?" (hmm, looks like they changed a few months ago and I didn't notice). Big improvement!
