Great potential to be a huge time waste, but used in moderation as part of rather than all of your online presence it does have some merit. I've found Perry Belcher to be the go-to guy on Twitter, and any of his stuff is worth reading. The best use I've found for it is tweeting my blog posts and also interesting content that I find elsewhere. If you find yourself on Twitter for over 5 minutes at any one time - go do something more productive. Anything! Twitter is like a lot of social media I think.
